BORN TO MOVE

PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT

Whether your child is a natural athlete who lives for match day, or someone who simply loves to move and try new things, our physical education and sport programme has something for everyone.

A LIFELONG LOVE OF BEING ACTIVE

We want every child to leave Dover Court with a genuine love of being active, something that stays with them long after their school days are over.

From their very first PE lessons in Early Years through to examination-level sport in Sixth Form, our programme is built to be inclusive and challenging in equal measure. There's room for every child to find their activity, develop real skills and see how far it takes them.

PRIMARY PE

In Primary, PE is about building a genuine love of movement from the very beginning. Our curriculum focuses on physical literacy: developing balance, coordination and agility through a wide variety of activities. Our swimming programme begins with water confidence and pool safety, before progressing to stroke development and refinement.

Sport extends well beyond the curriculum through our CCA programme, House Sports Events and competitive fixtures with ACSIS, giving every child the chance to explore their interests, challenge themselves and discover what they're capable of individually and as part of a team. Starting in Year 5, students can also represent Dover Court at international tournaments including the Nord Anglia Games and the FOBISIA Games.

SECONDARY PE

In Secondary, PE remains a core subject throughout Key Stages 3 and 4, with all students in Years 7 to 11 receiving two lessons per week. The focus shifts from physical literacy to deeper skill development, tactical understanding and leadership — alongside a co-curricular programme that offers a wide range of sports and activities both inside and outside school.

For students who want to take sport further, we offer both GCSE PE and IB Sports, Exercise and Health Science (IB SEHS), which covers everything including sports science and anatomy to biomechanics, psychology and nutrition.

COMPETITIVE PROGRAMME

WOLVES TEAMS

From the swimming pool to the rugby pitch, our teams play as one: The Wolves.

Our competitive programme is one of the strongest in Singapore, entering an average of 62 Wolves teams per year into the ACSIS (Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools) competition. Last year, more than half of those teams came home with a medal, with particularly strong performances in Boys Basketball, Girls Touch Rugby, Girls Basketball and Boys Rugby.

You can follow the action through SOCS, our co-curricular management platform — tracking fixtures, results and live streaming, while students use it to register for CCAs and sign up for trials.

THE NAE SEA GAMES

Watch our students grow in confidence, take on new challenges and forge friendships with students from across the region at the NAE SEA Games in Cambodia.

Dover Court's 12-acre campus gives students the space and facilities to train, compete and push themselves, whatever their sport.

Our sports facilities include a swimming pool complex, 4G football pitch, multi-sport courts and three air-conditioned indoor halls for basketball, badminton, volleyball, gymnastics and more.

COMPETING ON THE WORLD STAGE

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS

Through our membership of FOBISIA and our place in the Nord Anglia global network, Wolves teams travel internationally each year to compete in the FOBISIA Games, the NAE Games and a range of invitational tournaments across the region. These tournaments bring together schools across Asia in multi-sport competitions, giving students the chance to grow as athletes, build friendships and enjoy sport on an international stage.

For the students who make these squads, representing Dover Court on an international stage is something they'll never forget.

SPORTS LEADERSHIP

BEYOND THE PITCH

Students can also enrol in our Sports Leadership programme, developing the skills to plan, organise and deliver sports activities for others. With Level 1 and Level 2 courses available, students graduate with an internationally recognised qualification and real experience running events within the school community and beyond.
